The Studio by Ella Friberg is located on 908 Castle Street and sits in the center of the hip and trendy Castle Street District. Ella was inspired to cultivate a space for gathering, connecting, and experiencing the transformative power of creating art.
Friberg is a graduate of the Genesis Block Jumpstart Academy and has been featured in Port City Daily, Burgwin-Wright House & Gardens, Encore Magazine, Flytrap Brewing, Shoutout HTX and Gallery Citrine.

What is in store for The Studio by Ella Friberg in 2022?
We have started rolling out Studio Events and happenings in 2022. Our very first 6 week kids art class starts mid January. I am beginning with a winter and a spring session, and will build from there as I evaluate the need. As I meet with other local creatives, I will continue to expand class offerings.I am also bringing my version of the Art Club to the studio starting with one daytime session and one evening session.
Do you have a focus on events at The Studio?
Yes, I have started scheduling private events for teams and various groups of people. One of these custom events is called Brushes and Brie, where I have partnered with Rebecca’s Charcuterie Board to provide a custom charcuterie tasting board and I provide an art lesson that allows for a fun team building experience or even a new spin on a traditional mom’s night out. These events are fully customizable to the needs of the team. The Studio is a unique industrial environment that is also available for renting out for private events/meetings, and/or photography needs.
What is my advice for entrepreneurs in the creative industry?
My advice is to get to know your community and the creatives in it. I whole heartedly believe in community over competition, and that there is enough room for all of us. Reach out to people, connect with them, introduce yourself, and generally lead with kindness. As you continue to do this you will find your small close knit group of creatives to grow with. I think many creatives find connections online which definitely serves a purpose and is super beneficial, but I also believe that in-person connections truly help you thrive and grow to new levels.
