Genesis Block announced in late 2022 the launch of Genesis Bridge, a brand developed to support the organizational need for supply chain services including local sourcing of qualified contractors, procurement events and vendor tracking. The supply chain platform includes a range of services designed to support contractor pairing, community outreach, brand development and upskilling to elevate the talent pipeline. Conversations to Contracts

Conversations to Contracts is a networking/trade show formatted event in partnership with state, local government agencies, anchor institutions and
corporate partners. The goal is to connect minority owned businesses with contracting opportunities and to provide them with the resources necessary to strengthen their ventures. In 2022, this platform secured over $327,890 in minority contracts with $260,000 remaining in the pipeline. With the increase in state and regional project flow, Genesis Block aims for Conversations to Contracts to facilitate over $2.5 million dollars in contract deal flow in 2024.

Ready for Work Training Events

According to a survey of executives in the United States conducted by Training Industry, a whopping 87% of executives say they either currently face or expect to face major skills gaps within the next few years. The Ready for Work Training platform is designed to hosts workshops, training seminars, walk-thru certification events and digital learning labs to expedite the upskilling of the workforce in communities.

Public Agency Collaboration

Genesis Block is an active partner with several state and local agencies including the North Carolina Network of Kitchen Incubators, The Small Business Coalition, The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce, City of Wilmington, New Hanover County Government and others. This enables Genesis Bridge to serve as the nexus of economic development locally discovering existing MBE programs and providing a format to share best practices.

Genesis Block serves as an important component of the southeastern North Carolina entrepreneurship. In 2024, Genesis Block expects over 1000 attendees for its networking events, workshops and training seminars.

Community Information Sessions

Genesis Block is partnering with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Office of Civil Rights to create and maintain a database of DBE contractors who are qualified and capable of mobilizing for cleanup efforts to respond to disasters across the state. As part of this partnership, Genesis Bridge has created a community information session which provides community stakeholders the opportunity to communicate and collaboratively engage on the vision for economic development in their community.

Genesislist.net is a website designed to be a digital marketing platform for local small businesses. The website provides a digital storefront for businesses and creates instant brand development free of charge for local entrepreneurs.

Genesis Bridge Database

The Genesis Bridge database is dedicated to managing the MBE firms participating in regional projects, work contracts and vendor pairing initiatives. The database will manage scheduling, certifications, contract deal flow and other information to support vendor management.

Genesis Bridge is focused on building a multi-sector database of over 250 minority owned companies to support projects and economic growth in 2024.
